At the University of Toronto she completed an MA in Theatre, and she also double-majored in Psychology and Sociology. Contractor attended the highly-regarded Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario, Canada, for Pericles. After one full year, she was given the leading role. The 92 productions she performed were praised by Canadian critics. She was offered the opportunity to enroll in the Stratford Conservatory. The school is a private institution that accepts just eight men as well as four female students for a crash course in classical theater. Contractor was ecstatically accepted.
